Ally Coulter - Physiotherapist
Ally is a UK trained physiotherapist having worked in National health and private sports rehabilitation for over 6 years. Her love and involvement in competitive sport has fuelled her interest and intrigue in the function of the human body and in aspects of recovery from sport-related injuries.
Ally graduated from Northumbria University with a BSC Honours Degree in Physiotherapy. She gained two years’ experience in National Health Service hospitals where she rotated around the different departments acquiring essential skills and developing her interest in musculoskeletal injuries. Following this she worked across a variety of medical centres, assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with musculoskeletal and sport related injuries.
She has additional qualifications and experience in dry needling and Clinical Sports Massage and Ally set up her own practice in a sports centre, using all of these skills to provide advice and treatment for patrons.
Ally has a keen interest in the area of strength and conditioning and was also the lead physiotherapist for both rugby and American football teams and gained valuable experience working with Gareth Robinson, Head Physiotherapist for the Ulster rugby team.
Ally has undertaken the APPI mat work courses and thoroughly enjoys instructing and participating in classes. Her experience extends to pre and post natal rehabilitation and tailoring exercises to specific injuries.
Ally has a personal sporting history in field hockey, netball and tennis. She has developed a keen interest in strength and conditioning through her commitment to crossfit and understands the aspirations of ambitious athletes. Ally has a strong understanding of her own well-being and enjoys promoting this in others.
