Mia completed her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, Summa Cum Laude, at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa in2016. Mia started her career working in ICU in South Africa, but then transitioned to a sport and musculoskeletal clinic in 2021 where she gained invaluable experience working with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions as well as triathletes and swimmers, being a retired competitive swimmer herself.
Mia thoroughly enjoys working in private practice where she has an interest in treating patients with musculoskeletal conditions, especially neck and upper back pain, cervicogenic headaches, hip, knee and ankle issues as well as pre/post surgery. Mia has done advanced training in dry needling and has extensive experience in this field and firmly believes in combining manual therapy with active rehabilitation and/or clinical pilates for long-term results.
